RE: The dangers of focusing too much on Pacquiao's feats

I re-read the article done by Mario Duamaual regarding the alleged affair of Krista Ranillo and Manny Pacquiao.  Personally speaking I think that it is a good article. And why is it that Manny Pacquiao should not hide behind his victories as a fighter. The Filipino public and the rest of the world should see the man, not the god image that the public has made him.

As a matter of fact, stories like this is are needed more than the discussions on how
great a fighter Manny Pacquiao is. This is the reason why I don't like Manny Pacquiao is, because of all this god image hype that he is getting in the Philippines.

Now Manny Pacquiao is running for political office, and the people need to be aware
of everything he does. Stories like this make your paper an objective voice regarding Manny Pacquaio.

Your newspaper is not afraid to print the truth about the man instead of letting him hide behind his godlike image.

Personally speaking, I don't want this feedback to be printed in your newspaper.

What I want is for courageous writers like Mario Duamaual to be given the opportunity
to present to the public the man, Manny Pacquiao.

Why don't you do a TV special or a number of articles exposing the man, Manny Pacquiao. Viewers need to see this especially before the election.

You know this whole story about Manny Pacquiao reminds me of a Western that was filmed in the late 1970's. I think that it is called Posse, and it starred Kirk Douglas. Kirk Douglas starred as a sheriff running for Govenor of Texas at the time. And what he did for his campaigning was to capture an outlaw and his gang. The outlaw's name was Bruce Stern. The interesting thing about his men was that their reward for arresting this outlaw and helping their sheriff get elected, was jobs as security guards for the railroad. Now at the end of the movie, Bruce Stern breaks free and enlists the very men who arrested him. Kirk Douglas ends up losing the election and he himself ends up getting a job as a security guard for the railroad.

Manny Pacquaio is that sheriff and he is using his wins and popularity to promote his campaigning for the local seat in his own province. Now what is he offering the people of his districts, some kind of security job like in the movie. This is all I have to say with  regard to this matter.
