I wonder why the editors of Time magazine who put up Manny Pacquiao on its cover did not add the word “brown” to its caption, thus: THE GREAT BROWN HOPE which should have been more precise and appreciated by the world. Oversight or racial prejudice?

 

Manny Pacquiao has not only made Pinoys proud, but he and other winning Pinoy boxers also have given Filipinos worldwide that intimidating reputation that we are not only hard-working but hard-hitting as well. True or not, now any other foreigner should think twice before fooling or abusing a Filipino. I believe Pacman has involuntary given our people the bragging right to wear a T-shirt that reads, “Don’t Mess with Pinoys”.
