Is it appropriate for nuns, fathers or the whole league churches to get involved with politics? Example, going with activist during a demonstration , and other things concerning politics, like last night's news in TV patrol where nuns are out and about with Mr. Lozada.
Personally, I don't really think it's appropriate. I'm not underestimating them or anything but, I believe that they should promote peace and harmony by preaching the words of our Holy Father. Over the years it is apparent that the church body seems to be more concerned with politics.

I agree, if their motives are about making our country a better place then why not.

That's true if our current political environment is equal and just. But right now it is apparent that we are ruled by leaders who at every turn has something to do with multi-million dollar deals going awry without an explanation.
Have you watched "the patriot"? there's a part there where Gabriele is recruiting for militia members. there was an argument of wether they should join, and at the last part. the priest, also joined the militia and says "I’m a shepherd, and someone needs to fend off the wolves."
I think that nuns who go with Lozada to rallies are a good thing because Lozada has put everything on the line for the truth and is now a virtual peasant. But priests who run for a government post is something different.
For me we should look at the motives of not only the church but also ourselves. Is it a self serving motive? Or is it for the good of the whole country.
