Happy Days Are Here Again. Back to a simple life but this time the future offers peace, prosperity, and comfort. Does anyone know the moneybags doing the Broadway Plays in Metro Manila? They can do “The Wizard of Oz” (pinoy style). Translate it in Tagalog or write new songs. But I would suggest doing the musical in English.

As Dorothy, Nikki Gil can sing in English. You need the there vocalists. The Scarecrow without a brain to represent the farmers, the Tin Man without a heart to represent Filipino Industries, and the Cowardly Lion to represent the government; but all three get what they want from the Wizard of Oz in the end: a brain, a heart, and courage to face tomorrow. Dorothy gets to go back to normal after her life went “topsy turvy” because of Typhoon Ondoy instead of a tornado. The movie title could be “The Pinoy Wizard” with re-release of songs such as “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, “We’re off to see the Wizard”, and “Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead” by the Munchkins. We have plenty of munchkins and the movie version can have plenty of extras. The Pinoy Wizard can solve all our problems except only “Glinda the Good Witch of the North” can help Dorothy go back home. Dorothy awakened to be told that the past misfortunes and tribulations were only a dream, but it did not matter because Dorothy returned home.
