Commissioners of COMELEC are on equal footing with Congressmen and should display mutual respect for each other. It is upon COMELEC to see to it that this courtesy is practiced by both sides therefore action has to be taken to remind Cong. Monico Puentabella that he was totally out of line during congressional hearing last Friday in berating Commissioner Larrazabal for comments made to media.
Cong. Puentabella has no right to order a COMELEC commissioner what to say or do with media or any other representation. After all, Puentabella’s accusations of cheating are based on speculative assumption that it is suspect for 28,000 voters not to have voted for a vice mayor and 200,000 for vice president.
Did it not cross the congressman’s mind that maybe the voters did not like the candidates for the position they did not vote on? Puentabella seems to be taking his losing too personal and using the Filipino people as a reason for his questioning and complaint. Where was he when FPJ got zero votes in Pangasinan – NOTED!
