There must have been a rush in judgment in adopting automated voting system while ignoring time constraints, testing, training and transporting of machines. On top of that is the fact that only 90% of the rural areas have electricity.

There should have been a progressive change from paper ballots to electronic voting. Punch cards or mechanical lever voting machines should have been considered for rural areas and optical scanners for cities where electricity may not be a critical issue.

To adopt just one voting system with no prior experience is simply insane. I suspect some mysterious hand was behind in this change of a voting system.Political? Maybe. Economic? Most likely. FG must be laughing all the way to the bank.
