All that millions wasted on political campaigns, must be galling. Election day is looming and Villar is fast running out of options. To resurrect his flagging campaign, his sisters resorted to shoving their old and aging mother out of retirement and into the limelight.

She was not only seen on national television but also around the world, looking confused, bewildered and sorry - clueless! It almost constitute elderly abuse! I have to look away from the TV set, too painful to watch. Embarrassing too.

The old lady was not given a fighting chance, oh yes, she could have fought hard for her son's bread in Malakanyang, but her daughters kept relevant information from her. They kept her in the dark about her son's current state of affairs. They haven't learned from the Baby James (Kris Aquino's son) debacle that the very old and the very young rarely have a place in politics. They easily get startled, often miss their cues and could not redeem themselves, on time.

And then they blamed it on the media. Always the media, not themselves. Villar's sisters should be flogged and sent to the gallows, so disrespectful of their frail, old mother. The media is as friendly and helpful as they would have wanted it to be, they just don't know how. As an enemy? Be careful, the media might just oblige.
