MANILA, Philippines - The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced Friday 831 examinees passed the Penology Officer examination held last March 20.
"The passers were conferred the Penology Officer Eligibility (POE), which shall be considered appropriate for second level ranks in the jail and penology and functionally related services," the CSC said in a press release.
"Some 400 passers have cited promotion as their reason for taking the Penology Officer examination, while 242 said they took the examination to enter the government service," the CSC said.
The CSC also reminded the new Penology Officer eligibles that, "apart from acquiring eligibility, they also have to meet the education, experience and training requirements for permanent appointment or for promotion to a government career service position."
