MANILA - A graduate of Xavier University topped the January 2014 Licensure Examination for Elementary School Teachers.
Daisy Buenaventura Reyes of Xavier University got the highest score of 88.2%.
She was followed by Rachelle Ramos Sindayen of University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman who got a score of 88.2%, and Angela Dianne Manangan Agustin, also of UP Diliman, who got a score of 87.4%.
For high school teachers, UP Diliman's Deidre Roldan Morales and Central Mindanao University's Eduard Aldabon Pagtulon-an topped the exams with both scoring 88.4%.
They were followed by Zarina Isla Villadolid of UP Diliman who got 88.2%.
The tests were given last January 26 in 15 testing centers nationwide.

The Professional Regulation Commission said 11,120 examinees out of 38,377 (28%) passed the exams for elementary teachers.
A total of 12,033 examinees out of 42,358 (28%) passed the exams for high school teachers.
