MANILA - It seems more and more viewers are tuning in to their television screens as "Ang Probinsyano" races its way towards a climactic end to the recent story arc, wherein lead star Coco Martin had to disguise himself as a woman for a mission.

According to data from Kantar Media, "Ang Probinsyano" again broke its own nationwide TV ratings record for a third straight day. The Tuesday episode grabbed nearly half of the country's viewing public, garnering 46.7 percent.

On his Instagram account on Wednesday, the 34-year-old Martin expressed his gratitude towards all the support his series has been receiving. "Lord, wala na po akong masasabi pa kung hindi salamat po," he wrote.

The February 2 episode saw Martin's character, Cardo, attempt to rescue his dead twin's wife, Carmen (Bela Padilla), from the leader of a kidnapping syndicate. It resulted in him getting shot as he tried to revive Carmen, who nearly drowned after being pushed out of a yacht.

To compare, the series' rival program, "Little Nanay," only managed 16.9 percent for the same day.
