MANILA, Philippines -- Following his aborted romance with Julia Montes, Enchong Dee now prefers to keep his "love life" private.
Weeks after his televised joint interview with Montes, the 24-year-old actor said he feels "peaceful and quiet" when it comes to matters of the heart.
Rumors romantically linking Dee and the "Mara Clara" star surfaced early this year. Although the two never confirmed being in an official relationship, they have been vocal of their admiration for each other.
In a joint interview with "Showbiz Inside Report" aired early December, Montes and Dee said their budding relationship had been affected by their respective careers.

At the time, Dee said he and the 17-year-old actress had agreed on becoming "friends forever."
When asked on the "state of his heart" on the late-night newscast Bandila in an interview aired Wednesday, Dee said, "I'd rather stay quiet."
"I don't want anything bothering it, or I don't want any other people talking about it," he said.
Despite his aborted romance with Montes, Dee said he has much to be thankful for, having come by "confidence" and "stability" at this point in his career.
Having earned recognition as a competitive swimmer, Dee joined showbiz in 2007. He would later land leading man roles, starting with the 2009 afternoon series "Katorse."
"Because of the knowledge I gained along the way, natututo na ko kung ano 'yung worth ng sarili ko, natututo [ako tungkol sa] trabaho. Mahal ko 'yung trabaho ko, so alam ko kung nasaan ako ngayon," he said.
