MANILA, Philippines – The stars of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries this year are ready for the much-awaited annual parade ahead of Christmas Day.

The “Parade of Stars” will start at exactly 2 p.m. in front of the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, passing through Roxas Boulevard heading straight to the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City.

During the parade, the celebrities are going to hold an entertainment show.

All of the MMFF entries -- "One More Try," "Sisterakas," "The Strangers," "El Presidente," "Shake, Rattle & Roll 14," "Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Si Ako," "Sosy Problems," and "Thy Womb" -- are expected to outshine each other with their floats.

The MMFF movies will be shown in theaters nationwide starting on Christmas Day.

Because of the parade, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released alternative routes to avoid traffic.

Motorists traveling southbound from T.M. Kalaw may turn left at A. Mabini straight to F.B Harrison. They can then turn right to EDSA and make a left turn in Roxas Boulevard.

On the other hand, motorists traveling northbound from EDSA may turn left in Taft Avenue until T.M. Kalaw. – from a report by dzMM
