Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith has assured her fans that there is nothing unhealthy about her weight loss.
On Thursday's "Tonight With Boy Abunda," Curtis-Smith explained she only had a lot of things to do for the first time, which made her lose weight.
"Sanay na ako at that point na maraming nagre-react na pumayat ako. Normal na 'yung mga ganung comments. But there was one na nagulat na lang ako. Shocks, ang dumi ng tingin nila sa akin, ang pangit-pangit ng tingin nila sa pagkapayat ko," she explained, referring to a commenter who accused her of being anorexic.
She said her weight lose can be attributed to the fact that she now doesn't have a maid or a driver to look after her.
"Nabigla 'yung katawan ko because wala na akong maid or driver. This is my first time to do all the chores, take care of two dogs, go to work, prepare for a wedding coming up, travel so many different times na hindi naman sanay 'yung katawan ko," Curtis-Smith said.
The "Siargao" actress also admitted the comment affected her.
"I'm a mental health advocate and I myself have gone through depression and anxiety and for a while, bumalik siya because I felt like that was all I heard," Curtis-Smith said.
She also assured her fans that she gets regular health check-ups to ensure that she stays healthy.
