Wishes are a huge part of Christmas.
And Aiza Seguerra only has one: for his followers to call him Ice.
The recording artist and chairperson of the National Youth Commission opened up on social media on Tuesday and said that he wants his fans to acknowledge his sexual orientation.
He began his open note to his friends and family by reiterating his decision to come out: "May ilang taon na rin ang nakakalipas when I first came out. Yes, I came out as trans man three times already."
He continued by asking if they could refrain for calling him "ate, miss, tita, sis, ninang, senyora, ma'am, and madame." He also doesn't want to be referred to as a "she" and a "her."
"This is how I see myself and I would appreciate if people around me will respect that. If you do not understand kung ano ang trans man, PM me and I will gladly explain," he said.
His Facebook post has since been praised by his wife, who wrote: ICE SEGUERRA. Not Aiza, not Aiz. Just ICE. How 'COOL' is that?"
