Star Records artists bag honors at 24th Awit Awards

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 grand winner Jovit Baldivino

MANILA, Philippines - Artists of ABS-CBN's music outfit Star Records bagged major awards at the recently concluded 24th Awit Awards.

"Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1" grand winner Jovit Baldivino snatched the limelight as he won two major trophies including the Best Male Performance by a New Male Recording Artist award and Best-Selling Album of the Year award for his album "Faithfully."

ASAP Sessionistas' Juris bagged the Album of the Year award for her "Now Playing by Juris" album.

"Sa'yo Lamang" by Jamie Rivera and the Hail Mary the Queen Children's Choir got the Best Inspirational/Religious Recording award, while "PGT" finalist Ezra band received the Best Performance by a New Group of Recording Artists award.

"Move," Gabriel Valenciano's album featuring his sister Kiana, bagged the Best Dance Recording award while the song "Kaya Mo!" of 2010 film "RPG Metanoia" took home the Best Song Written for TV/Movie/Stage Play award.

Awit Awards is organized annually by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry Inc. to honor Filipino performing artists, composers, songwriters and other people behind local music.
