MANILA, Philippines -- Despite the success and all the blessings she's been receiving, young actress Julia Montes admitted that she sometimes misses her simple life.
"Siguro 'yung minsan kasi kapag artista tini-treat ka ng iba, tini-treat ka ng espesyal. Minsan nami-miss ko 'yung normal ka lang. 'Yung hindi ka tinitignan as artista. Minsan kasi awkward 'yung feeling na papaupuin ka dahil artista ka yung ganoon," Montes told Boy Abunda in an interview on "Bandila" Wednesday.
She added: "At saka nami-miss ko din 'yung nakakapag-church ako every Sunday."
After starring in "Mara Clara," Montes further gained popularity when she did the phenomenal series "Walang Hanggan" opposite Coco Martin.
Currently, Montes is gearing up for a movie with Martin and is also promoting the independent film "The Strangers," an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
In the interview, Montes also shared her feelings about turning 18 in March.
"Excited po on parang dahil magbi-birthday ako pero kinakabahan ako dahil 18 na. Pero sa akin, baby pa din ako," Montes said.
Asked if she will finally entertain suitors when she turns 18, Montes replied: "Ewan ko lang po kay Lola (Flory Hautea) ko."
Montes, who's now being linked to Martin and Enchong Dee, said she is happy right now.
"Okay po ako, happy po ako. Happy kasi maraming sumusuporta sa family, happy dahil hindi ko ini-expect na nandiyan pa din sila whatever happens," she said.
