Child singer Charlie Green is back in Manila to celebrate the Christmas and New Year's break through concerts.
"It's good to be back. I'm here for my concert and also to promote my CD," Green said.
The Fil-Brit boy said that he will do a New Year's concert at Shangri-la on December 31st at 10 in the evening and also a show with Richard Poon.
"Yes the Makati Shangri-la asked me to do a New Year's Eve concert and one with Richard Poon in Metro Bar and promoting my CD," the young singer said.
Green is based in the United Kingdom. He said that he is happy to be back to again meet his fellow Filipino fans and supporters.
"I'm here for my fans as well, salamat po sa inyong suporta," Green said.
Green said that while staying in United Kingdom he is also busy doing concerts and preparing for his upcoming shows here in the Philippines.
Green career gained momentum when he joined the UK's popular talent search "Britain's Got Talent" in April of this year.
On the semifinal round of the show, Green was eliminated due to a wrong choice of song. Green lost by a split decision from two of the three judges. Green sang an original composition.
Prior to the semi-finals, judges believed that Green was a fantastic performer and had a lot of potential. They, however, admitted that the song performed by Green on the semis was not the right one for him.
During the audition in April, Green performed Frank Sinatra’s "Summer Wind". He wowed the British audience, including the unpredictable judge Simon Cowell who even said that the young singer was fantastic.
After he made a name in the UK, Green visited the Philippines July of this year and recorded his self-titled first local album under ABS-CBN’s music outfit Star Records.
