Becoming a father is life-changing.
And Paul Soriano wholeheartedly agreed as he looked back over his first year as a parent with wife Toni Gonzaga to baby Seve in an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on Thursday.
Explaining how fatherhood provided him with a new outlook, he said: "I think Seve opened up ...my peripherals. I see everything now because of him. With him, it's like the world is just different."
Pointing to a photo of Seve, he added: "I love the boy so much. We got this saying from someone, 'For the first time, my heart is living outside my body.' And that's my heart right there."
Soriano and Gonzaga welcomed Seve in September 2016.
According to Soriano, he strives to become the perfect parent to their first child. "I'm not going to be the perfect father but for me, I want to be that perfect father," he said.
Soriano was on the late-night talk show to promote his upcoming movie, "Siargao," an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. It stars Erich Gonzales, Jericho Rosales, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
