Maria, 30, at the sidelines of a press conference for "Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Si Ako" on Thursday.
Revilla will star in the film, an entry to the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival, alongside his father Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., Vic Sotto and Judy Ann Santos.
In September, rumors romantically linking Sta. Maria and the younger Revilla surfaced. The "Be Careful With My Heart" star has since referred to the actor-turned-politican as her "special someone."
Their respective children, Revilla shared on Thursday, have also become good friends.
Sta. Maria has a son, Thirdy, with Pampi Lacson, who is now in a relationship with actress Iwa Moto. Revilla, on the other hand, has a son named Gabriel with Rosanna Roces' daughter, Grace Adriano.
"'Tito' tawag niya sa 'kin," the actor said, referring to Thirdy.
With the 2013 mid-term elections nearing -- Revilla is running as vice-governor in his native Cavite -- the "My Binondo Girl" actor said he will appreciate any campaign efforts on the part of Sta. Maria.
Revilla will be running against Ronald Jay Lacson, the brother of Sta. Maria's estranged husband.
"All I can say is kung ikakampanya niya (Sta. Maria) ako, thank you very much.
