MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN News entertainment reporter Gretchen Fullido is still on cloud nine a day after she watched Sting’s concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
During the extro of her ANC show “Dateline Philippines” on Monday, Fullido told her fellow anchor Gigi Grande how elated she was that she got the chance to talk to Sting.
“I had a photo with him. I’m a fan girl. I waited for him for an hour and a half after the show and then I shouted ‘Sting can I have a photo with you?’ He said yes. And then I ran to him and had a photo,” she shared.
Showing their photo together taken using her camera, Fullido recalled how nice the British singer was in accommodating her request.
“Even if the bouncers were pushing me, he said ‘Come!’ And then he said ‘ You’re cute!’ What a moment, I still cannot believe it happened,” she said.
During the concert, Sting paid tribute to the victims of typhoon “Pablo” as he performed before a jampacked crowd of music fans.
Sting dedicated his song “Fragile” to the people who lost their lives to the typhoon.
He also sang his hit songs including “If I Ever Lose my Faith in You,” “Fields of Gold,” “Every Breath You Take” and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.”
