MANILA – One would think that a beauty queen no longer has any insecurities.
This, however, is not true, according to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
During their banter on “It’s Showtime” on Tuesday, Vice Ganda asked Wurtzbach if she still gets paranoid when it comes to her boyfriend, Filipino-Swiss racecar driver Marlon Stockinger.
Without hesitation, Wurtzbach immediately said: “Oo naman. Nandoon pa rin lahat, [nagdududa], nagseselos ka pa rin minsan, napapraning, naghihinala.”
Wurtzbach also shared her mindset about relationships prior to her Miss Universe win.
“Ayaw ko ng distractions. Ayaw ko ng may magtatampo kapag nakita akong naka-swimsuit sa stage or magseselos, so no boyfriend,” she said.
On November 30, Wurtzbach took to Instagram to share her short but sweet anniversary message for Stockinger.
"A day delayed cos I was travelling back but happy anniversary my love!" wrote Wurtzbach, who was then on her flight back from judging the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas.
The pair first met in New York, months after Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe 2015 title.
In an interview on "Gandang Gabi Vice" last April, Wurtzbach acknowledged that she had long harbored a crush on the race car driver and that they first got in touch through social media.
Stockinger added that he was in Europe when Wurtzbach was based in New York, and that he personally flew to the Big Apple so they could get to know each other better.
Wurtzbach and Stockinger first admitted to having a relationship in January.
