MANILA, Philippines - Actress Angelica Panganiban praised big screen leading man Dingdong Dantes for being a professional actor and for being so gentleman.

In an interview during a press conference of Star Cinama's "One More Try," Panganiban even declared that Dantes was the "most gentleman" actor she has worked with.

"Si Dingdong sobrang gentleman. Sobrang protective niya sa ka-eksena niya. Siyempre bilang babae ayaw niya na baka masilipan 'yung ka-eksena niya. Siyempre may ibang tao sa set hindi naman pwedeng kaming dalawa lang. May cameraman, may nagsusukat, nandiyan yung direktor mo, assistant director so may ibang lalaki talaga so hindi 'yun naiiwasan," Panganiban said.

"So napaka-protective niya na ayaw nga niyang masilipan or ayaw niyang maramdaman ng kaeksena niya na 'oy baka maramdaman niya na nababastos ko siya o sumusobra na ako or baka lumalagpas na ako sa boundaries ko.' Wala, wala akong naramdamang ganoon sa kanya. In fairness sa kanya siya 'yung pinakamagaling mag-handle ng leading ladies sa mga naka-eksena ko," she added.

In "One More Try," Panganiban plays Jacqueline, the wife of Edward (Dantes).

Directed by Ruel S. Bayani, "One More Try," which also stars Angel Locsin and Zanjoe Marudo, is an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

It opens in theaters nationwide on December 25.
