MANILA -- Robin Padilla on Tuesday shared some facts that even his die-hard fans probably didn't know about him.

Appearing on the ABS-CBN morning show "Magandang Buhay," Padilla revealed some interesting bits of trivia about his life and career.

Here are 7 things that people probably didn't know about Padilla.

1. His real name is Robinhood Ferdinand.

It was his mother and the priest who baptized him who gave him his name.

2. He's an Igorot.

While he was raised in Manila, Padilla also lived for a time in Baguio, where he was discovered.

3. He loves to dance.

Far from his bad boy image, Padilla loves to dance, particularly street dancing.

"Noong araw kasi bago magsapakan, sayawan muna. So showdown 'yon sa sayaw, street dancing," Padilla said.

4. He's afraid of ghosts.

As an action star, Padilla is known for being tough. But did you know the Padilla is afraid of ghosts?

5. He wanted to be an astronaut.

Padilla admitted that it was not his dream to become an actor.

"Gusto kong maging astronaut eh, 'yun ang aking pangarap. Eh artista, nasa dugo naman, sabi ko sige pwede yan," Padilla said.

6. He used to play kontrabida roles.

7. He once took in a homeless person.

According to his mother, Eva Carino, Padilla was already kind and generous even at a very young age.

Sabi niya, 'Wala, wala, Ma.' Yun pala may inaalagaan siyang tao. Sabi ko, 'Saan mo nakuha ito? 'Mama kawawa naman naglalakad lang.' Pinagtiyagaan niya unti-unti," Cariño shared.
