MANILA – While Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil will be spending the Christmas holidays in the Philippines, the two are planning to go abroad for her birthday in January.
“We are still deciding where we’re going to go but I hope it’s someplace na malamig because I like cold weather,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News ahead of the TechnoMarine event on Saturday where she was launched as its newest brand ambassador.
Soberano also gave hints on their latest big-screen project “My Ex and Whys.”
“Medyo mas sensual 'yung movie namin ng kaunti, very slight lang, and it’s also more mature compared to the movies we’ve done before. It’s totally different from everything we’ve ever done, including our TV shows, so dapat abangan,” she said.
Headed by "Forevermore" director Cathy Garcia-Molina, “My Ex and Whys” will be about a former playboy (Gil) trying to prove to his ex-girlfriend (Soberano) that he is a changed man.
The two recently flew to South Korea to film some scenes for the movie.
Asked what’s her most memorable experience with Gil in Korea, Soberano said: “I guess the experience lang mismo, being in Korea is to me the most memorable thing. We got to see a lot of nice places like Myeongdong. We also got to Nami Island. We got to eat a lot of good Korean food.”
Aside from “My Ex and Whys,” Soberano said she and Gil will also work on another movie and a new TV series in 2017.
“After the movie, nabalitaan namin na meron po kaming isa pang movie and we have an upcoming teleserye. We will also be part of a big project but we won’t be there for the whole show,” she said.
With everything that is happening in her career, Soberano said her only wish this Christmas and for her birthday in January is for blessings to continue coming her way.
“Wala po akong gusto talaga. Hindi ko pa po naiisip kung ano ang gusto ko pero sana po continuous ang blessings. Sana maging masaya ang family ko. Sana masya ang buong mundo,” she said.
