'Dream Dad' leads top 15 shows in November

MANILA - Fourteen of the 15 most watched TV programs in the Philippines in November were produced by ABS-CBN, according to Kantar Media.

The Zanjoe Marudo-starrer "Dream Dad," which debuted on primetime last Novemeber 24, led with an average nationwide rating of 30.1%. Trailing the drama series were a mix of ABS-CBN's weekend programs and other Primetime Bida offerings.

Notably, debuting and concluding shows ranked high in the list, such as "Pure Love," which aired its last episode on November 14; "Hawak Kamay," which ended last November 21; and "Bagito," which premiered on November 17.

In order, other Kapamilya shows in the top 15 were: "The Voice of the Philippines" (average nationwide rating of 30%), "Maalaala Mo Kaya" (29.6%), "Forevermore" (28.7%), "Hawak Kamay" (28.4%), "TV Patrol" (28.3%), "Pure Love" (26.6%), "Bagito" (26.5%), "Rated K" (25.7%), "Wansapanataym" (25.2%), "Home Sweetie Home" (24.5%), "Mga Kwento Ni Marc Logan" (22.3%), "Two Wives" (22%), and "Goin' Bulilit" (21.2%).

The strong viewership of ABS-CBN's programs bolstered its lead over rival GMA-7. The Kapamila network hit an average total day audience share of 45%, while the latter only got 34% in November.

ABS-CBN pulled away in the primetime block (6 p.m. to 12 midnight) for the month, having registered 51% in national audience share, compared to GMA-7's 31%.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
