MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Jodi Sta. Maria is slowly opening up about her feelings for actor-politician Jolo Revilla.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News during the birthday celebration of Revilla's aunt, Andeng Ynarez, Sta. Maria praised Revilla's good qualities.
"Kasi napaka-gentleman niya at nagpapasalamat ako, very gentleman yung ganoong gestures... malakas maka-girl," she said.
"He is really mature for his age, 'yun ang masasabi ko talaga. Nakakatuwa I mean his thoughts, his goals in life, 'yung aspirations niya. Wala na siya sa point na maglalaro o gumimik, alam niya kung saan niya gustong makarating at ano ang gusto niya sa buhay," she added.
Asked once again to talk about the real status of her relationship with Revilla, Sta. Maria said: "In time. Sa ngayon, enjoy muna kami," she said.
"Kasi paminsan, the more na ibinibigay mo ang sarili mo sa public, mas marami ang nasasabi at mas maraming opinyon. So okay na lang kung paano namin hina-handle kung ano ang meron kami, 'yun na yon," she added.
Happy in love
While she is thankful for getting a second chance in love, Sta. Maria stressed it will take some time before she considers marrying again.
"Oo naman, sa love naman hindi ako nawalan ng faith. Hindi naman porket nanggaling ako sa failed relationship eh lahat ng potential relationship ay magfe-fail na lahat. We should always believe in love," she said.
"Dapat lagi talaga tayong masaya, importante 'yon. Kasi hindi ba, aanhin mo ang lahat ng mayroon ka kung hindi ka happy. We should always protect ourselves from anything that is crucial to our happiness," added the Kapamilya actress, who shared that she will have a happy Christmas this year.
Meanwhile, Sta. Maria refused to comment on Iwa Moto's remarks about her.
Just recently, Moto wished Sta. Maria all the best, saying that they have all moved on. She is currently in a relationship with Sta. Maria's estranged husband, Pampi Lacson.
"I don't want to make anything, comment on anything, from day one. Up to this day, I will keep quiet," Sta. Maria said. -- with a report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
