MANILA, Philippines – While she did not win the much-coveted crown, Miss Earth 2012 first runner-up Stephany Stefanowitz said she cannot ask for anything else.

On “ASAP 2012” on Sunday, Stefanowitz, who was named Miss Air during the coronation ceremony held at Versailles Place in Muntinlupa City on Saturday night, said the best thing she learned from the beauty pageant is that everyone has a cause worth fighting for.

“We are all beauties for a cause and we are all fighting for the betterment of the environment,” she said, calling her fellow candidates’ advocacies an “amazing thing.”

“Meeting all these gorgeous ladies from all over the world is such a blessing and I can't ask for anything else,” Stefanowitz gushed.

This year’s Miss Earth, Tereza Fajksová of the Czech Republic, meanwhile, thanked everyone who supported the pageant, which advocates involvement in the preservation of the environment and the protection of the Mother Earth.

“Thank you to all the people from the Philippines and the Czech Republic and for Europe, to [those who gave] support for all of us,” Fajksová said. “I thank all of you who love us, we love you too! Salamat po.”

Fajksová will serve as an ambassador to environmental protection campaigns around the world.

Venezuela's Osmariel Villalobos was crowned Miss Water (second runner-up), while Brazil's Camila Brant was named Miss Fire (third runner-up).

John Prats blushes

“’Di ba mahilig ka sa beauty queen?” singer Billy Crawford teased his co-host John Prats during their interview with Miss Earth winners on the Sunday musical variety show.

“Ano ka ba naman!” Prats reacted. The actor broke up with former beauty queen Bianca Manalo last May.

“Ano ba iyan, nag-blush tuloy ako,” Prats said, covering his face while laughing.

Prats gamely stood on a metal and glass box provided by the show's production crew as he interviewed the statuesque Miss Earth winners.

“Iba ang pagsasalita ng mga beauty queen, talagang very well said,” he said of the ladies, to which Crawford replied, “Nagpapa-beauty queen ka na naman diyan, e!”

Prats later praised the Miss Earth winners, saying, “Kita mo naman na world-class naman talaga ang ganda ng ating mga kasama.”
