MANILA, Philipppines – Actress Maja Salvador on Sunday denied that she and former boyfriend, actor-athlete Matteo Guidicelli, have gotten back together and are just keeping their reconciliation a secret.

In a live interview on “The Buzz,” Salvador said she’s just happy that she and Guidicelli are friends again.

“Hindi po (kami nagkabalikan pero magkaibigan kami. Masaya na ako na magkaibigan kami,” Salvador told “The Buzz” co-host Charlene Gonzales.

“Happy ako na magkaibigan po kami uli,” the “24/7 in Love” actress added.

Salvador also clarified reports that she and Guidicelli hugged each other when they crossed each other’s paths on November 11 right before the actress went on air for “Sarah G Live.”

Salvador said Guidicelli was with former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Matt Evans, who recently figured in a controversial fight with his lived-in partner.

“Si Matt, siyempre hi-nug ko, ‘Kapatid, o kamusta ka na?” Salvador explained. “Tapos, sabi ni Kim (Chiu), “Bakit si Matteo hindi mo hina-hug? Magkagalit kayo no?” ‘Hindi no.’ Tapos, ‘Matteo,’ hi-nug ko. Tapos sabi ni Kimi, wooh.”

“Saglit lang ‘yon. Naguusap kami, may communication naman kami. Magkaibigan naman kami,” Salvador added.

Salvador admitted her separation with Guidicelli last August. In a previous interview, she admitted that she ended her relationship with the "Paraiso" star because she felt like she was competing for the actor's time.

But on Sunday, Salvador said she’s ready to fall in love again despite the failed relationship.

“Di ba dapat lagi ka naman handa? Yes, I’m ready to fall in love again,” she said.

“With Matteo?” Gonzales asked.

“We’ll see,” an embarrassed Salvador replied.

Salvador, who was promoting the Star Magic 20th anniversary movie “24/7 in Love” on the show, also said her favorite takeaway from the movie was a line by actor John Lloyd Cruz: “Kung kayang ayusin, ayusin. Kung mahal mo, ipaglaban mo.”

Asked what she would do if she knew that the world is ending -- a plot point in the movie -- Salvador again referred to her favorite movie quote.

“Aayusin ko na ang dapat ayusin,” she said.
