MANILA - King of Comedy Dolphy Quizon is celebrating his 65th anniversary in show business.

To mark his long and successful career, Dolphy's children, headed by director Eric Quizon and actor Jeffrey “Epy” Quizon, prepared a special celebration that will also help less fortunate Filipinos.

According to Eric, a golf tournament will be held to honor the 65th year showbiz career of his 81-year-old father.

"This is going to be the first annual 'Pidol Cup.' We decided to support the ‘Habitat for Humanity’ with their on-going project called ‘Repair and Rebuild,’" Eric told “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Epy added: "With every 7,000 that we can collect doon sa golf tournament, we can help rebuild homes for our less fortunate and the victims of the typhoons."

The first annual “Pidol Cup” will be held on Thursday at Eastridge Golf Club.

Aside from the golf tournament , Dolphy has another surprise for his fans and supporters.

His upcomingng film, "Nobody Nobody But Juan," will be shown next month as an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Matagal din akong hindi nakakasali. Almost 4 years na. Maganda naman. Masaya naman. Magugustuhan ng mga tao [ang pelikula] sa palagay ko," Dolphy said.

Eric, the film director, said his father will play Filipino American elderly Juan dela Cruz. He also said that “Wowowee” main host Willie Revillame plays a vital role in the movie.

"Naging vital ang papel ni Willie at ng ‘Wowowee’ sa pelikulang ito," Eric said.

Dolphy explained that originally Revillame was to play a big role in the film. Due to the host’s hectic schedule, however, Revillame could only commit to a cameo appearance, the king of comedy added.

Dolphy said: "Mahaba ang cameo role niya kasi talagang originally ang script was written for me and Willie. Sabi ni Willie sa akin, 'Huwag muna, Tito Dolphy. Mahihirapan tayo sa schedule. Sasama na lang ako maski cameo role.'"
