MANILA - Veteran singer Ogie Alcasid will be part of the judges table for the upcoming celebrity kids edition of the hit singing and impersonation contest "Your Face Sounds Familiar," fueling speculations about a possible network transfer.
Alcasid, who has long been associated with GMA 7 before leaving for TV5, will help out fellow singers Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano on the show's third edition, which is scheduled to premiere sometime next year.
In an earlier interview with ABS-CBN News back in August, Alcasid said he is open to signing a contract with the Kapamilya network.
"Anything is possible. ... Pero ang feeling ko sa three years being with TV5 we weren't able to accomplish what we were supposed to accomplish. So kung iiwan ko lang 'yun na ganoon, there's big part of me na sige baka kaya pa naman. However, kung hindi na kaya, kung wala na, then it's time to move on. I don't want to base my position on anything else but where am I needed most at this point," he admitted at the time.
Last Monday, Alcasid also posted a photo of him with "Bubble Gang" skit partner Michael V, suggesting that he would be returning to GMA 7.
But during an ABS-CBN trade event held Tuesday, he was included in the teaser for "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" shown to advertisers.
The short clip also introduced the contestants, namely Alonzo Muhlach, Lyca Gairanod, Elha Nympha, Sam Shoaf, Justin Alva, Xia Vigor, and Awra Briguela. It was also revealed that Billy Crawford will be returning as host.
