MANILA, Philippines -Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez on Thursday said she's getting better a week after she lost her voice during her 25th anniversary concert.
"I'm getting better... Slowly, slowly it's getting better actually pero may konti pa din akong malat. Umuubo pa din ako at grabe yung virus talaga but yeah it's getting better, getting there," Velasquez said on Thursday during a press conference for "Pampers Comfort," which she is endorsing along with her baby Nate.
"Voice rest pa din ako . Sign language pa din ako sa house," she added, after her doctors ordered a complete voice rest for her.
Last week, Velasquez cried while apologizing to fans who attended her concert, since she wasn't able to perform well after losing her voice due to a viral infection.
The concert was cut short but the singer vowed to hold a free concert.
According to Velasquez, they are now fixing everything for the re-staging of her silver anniversary concert.
"Right now we are trying to fix everybody's schedule, it's not just me lang kasi mayroon din tayong orchestra, 55 people yan, the back up singers at lahat yon at inaayos namin at our guests but as soon as malaman namin yung schedule mag-a-announce na kami," Velasquez said.
The repeat of singer Regine's silver anniversary concert is tentatively set on December 8, according to her sister Cacai Mitra.
Velasquez vowed that she will really give her best for her fans.
"I will try to get well. It's just unfortunate na I got sick the week of my concert at I got hit the day talaga. The weird thing yung throat ang affected at ang dami namang may sakit at lahat kami mga walang boses," she added.
