MANILA, Philippines - Actor Piolo Pascual on Wednesday thanked his fans who are always there for him despite the many controversies that have hounded him.
"I guess more than asking for support or love, a message of thanksgiving because when I was in the States just weeks ago ay sobra 'yung support. I had back-to-back shows with Angeline (Quinto) in Reno and San Diego... and the one we had in L.A. They flew from different parts of the States so nakakataba ng puso when people are supporting you," Pascual told ABS-CBNnews.com on Wednesday afternoon.
"So sabi ko sa kanila eh kahit isa ka lang o 10 kayo ay maa-appreciate nila 'yung time na ibinibigay nila sa iyo because we are talking of years and years of support that I'd been getting from this people, they are not asking for anything in return. They willingly give their love and support because of what you do, 'yun ang nakakataba ng puso at 'yun ang pinagpapasalamat ko," he said.
Asked to comment about his fans who are now being suspected of bashing other celebrities, Pascual replied: "Hindi ko pa napo-proseso 'yon eh."
A few weeks ago, actress Sharon Cuneta defended herself and daughter KC Concepcion on Twitter against bashers whom she suspects are supporters of Pascual.
The singer also said Pascual should be thankful that she and her family have remained quiet about his controversial breakup with her daughter.
Cuneta even addressed Pascual directly when she admitted “punong-punong puno na ako!!!!! Akala nila basta lang namin papalampasin to? …Sorry pasensyahan na lang. At pag nagsalita kami, PIOLO, DAHIL SA FANS MO!”
