MANILA, Philippines -- Marco Sison is set on making his music comeback with new hit songs as he releases his latest album.
"It's been a while, kaya excited ako. It's another adventure for me, something to look forward to, 'yung hindi magpapatulog sa 'kin," Sison told ABS-CBNnews.com on the sidelines of the launch of his new album "Isang Pagkakataon," on Thursday.
Popular for his hits in the '90s such as "My Love Will See You Through," Sison said he hopes his new record will mark his successful comeback in the local music scene.
"Maraming nagsasabi na hindi ko na kailangan ng album. Sabi ko hindi naman. Hopefully magkaroon ako ng new set of hits," Sison said.
By "new," the OPM crooner means an all-original track featured in his new album.
Released early this month, "Isang Pagkakaton" features 5 new songs from Vehnee Saturno, according to Sison. Among them is the singer's carrier single, which shares the title of the album. Three other songs, one written by Sison himself, round up the record's eight-track offering.
"It's all original, fresh. It's all Tagalog, kaya maganda siya. Meron din po akong mga teleserye na kanta dito. Meron din akong acoustic that will cater to the young people," the singer said.
Despite his album's variety of featured tracks, Sison said they all tap the "Filipino sentiment" of relishing the feeling of love.
"Ito ang sentiment ng mga Pilipino -- we all love being in love. Kasi love songs, you can't go wrong with love songs," he said.
"Contribution ko na rin to sa industriya, na meron akong bagong album, na updated naman 'yung sound niya," Sison added.
