MANILA, Philippines - Actor Marvin Agustin is hoping to do a reunion project with his "Gimik" friends like Mylene Dizon, Jolina Magdangal and Judy Ann Santos.
"Nami-miss ko talagang ka-trabaho 'yung mga, like kunwari 'yung una kong soap opera na ginawa ko 'yung 'Esperanza.' Kasama ko si Judai doon, sa Gimik barkada," Agustin told ABS-CBNnews.com in an interview on Monday during the press conference for his newest endorsement Knorr.
"Though lahat sila ay nasa Channel 2 so hindi ko alam kung paano sila makakasama," said Agustin, who's now busy doing hosting jobs in a rival network.
"Sana makaisip kami ng project na pang-pelikula, na 'yung mga network kung saan kami naka-kontrata ay payagan kami to make a project. I hope it will materialize para makita kami ulit ng mga taong magkakasama," Agustin added. "Hindi ba ang sayang panoorin noon?"
Asked if he has a theme for the film project, the celebrity restaurateur said: "Ano yan, parang barkada movie yan. Sabagay matatanda na kami, so old barkada na."
Agustin said he still communicates with some of his "Gimik" friends like Dizon, Magdangal and Santos.
Aside from owning numerous restaurants, Agustin is also a successful concert-film producer. His production outfit Futeretainment Inc. was responsible for bringing in Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars and The Black Eyed Peas to the Philippines.
Agustin said they are planning a big concert next year.
"Next year na lahat kasi this year naka-focus kami sa TV production, sa 'Kanta Pilipinas,' so next year," he said. "Under negotiations pa hindi pa pwedeng i-reveal."
In a previous interview, the actor-producer said his dream is to bring Madonna in the Philippines.
Agustin revealed that they are also thinking of producing an indie film next year.
"Kasi 'yung production namin ay TV and movies. May nagsa-submit sa amin ng script, inaaral pa namin. May pinagpipilian but wala pa talaga 'yung ito na 'yung gagawin natin, pero may candidates na," he said.
