'Goin' Bulilit's' Basty Alcanses turns 12

MANILA, Philippines- Child actor Basty Alcanses is celebrating his 12th birthday today.

Born Sebastian Alcanses, his ticket to show business is the defunct reality star search, "Star Circle Kid's Quest (SCQ)," which he joined in 2004.

Although he failed to grab the grand prize, talent scouts took notice of his talent. He was given successive TV and movie projects together with his SCQ batchmates Nash Aguas, Sharlene San Pedro and Aaron Junatas.

The 12-year-old actor belongs to the admirable cast of multi-awarded kid gag show, “Goin' Bulilit,” and primetime bida’s “[email protected]

Alcanses was also part of defunct Kapamilya shows “Dyosa,” “Lastikman,” and “Sa Piling Mo.”

He was also part of movies “Sabel,” “Don’t Give Up on Us” and “Tatlong Baraha.”

Alcanses is also part of Metro Manila Film Festival 2010 entry “RPG Metanoia,” the first Philippine 3D animated movie.
