MANILA, Philippines – Ryan Murphy, the creator of hit American musical series “Glee,” finally gave a hint on what would be the role of “American Idol” runner up Jessica Sanchez when she joins the show midway through its fourth season.

In an interview with the Manila Bulletin, Murphy said he would have wanted Sanchez to be in every episode of “Glee” this year, only that it was not possible because of the singer’s prior commitments.
“Well, when you have a voice like that, we wanted her to be in every episode this year. But she couldn’t because of the tour. She is doing an album so we worked it out that she will probably do two or three episodes so that will probably be 16, 17, 18 when we get into the regionals competition,” he said.
“I would imagine she is going to be the big voice star of another competing choir who gives them a run for their money,” Murphy added.
The “Glee” creator, however, did not confirm speculations that Sanchez will be the newest love interest of Finn, the character played by actor Cory Monteith.
In her interview with E! Online last October, Sanchez said she is not yet sure as to what her storyline on the show will be.
However, she said that if rumors are true, being Finn’s new love interest would be interesting.
"Everybody thinks that, but I'm not even sure. That would be interesting," she said.
The 17-year-old singer will start taping her episodes in January and her scenes will be shown during the spring.
