MANILA – Ariel Rivera is happy to be back with ABS-CBN again, this time with another family drama to offer.
Rivera is part of the upcoming television series starring Sylvia Sanchez and her son Arjo Atayde.
“This is home for me. I started dito sa ABS-CBN. I was built here. I learned the ways here. I’ve always thought this to be my home. Mayroon lang tayo minsang vacation home, napupunta ako sa kabila, but this has always been my home,” he said during a press conference on Sunday.
When asked why he decided to accept the still untitled project, Rivera said in jest: “Kailangan ko ng pera eh.”
Turning serious, Rivera said it is usually the quality of the project that’s being offered to him that makes him agree to do a show.
“First and foremost, before I accept any project, it’s always, anong klaseng project, anong role ko. I ask first kung anong gagawin ko. I have to have challenge or enjoy or like the story before anything else,” he said.
Rivera’s last project with the Kapamilya network was “Born For You” where he played the father of Elmo Magalona’s character.
