MANILA – Sylvia Sanchez assured television viewers that her role in the upcoming ABS-CBN family drama will be different from the one that she portrayed on “The Greatest Love.”

Although she will play a mother again, Sanchez said her new character will show how a parent will do anything for her children but in a different way.

Si Gloria (her role on ‘The Greatest Love’) kasi, ang tanong is hanggang saan mo kayang tiisin ang iyong mga anak. Magkaibang mukha ng ina,” she explained.

Sanchez’s real-life son, Arjo Atayde, and actor Yves Flores will play Sonya’s sons in the series.

While confident that this new show has a touching story, Sanchez acknowledges the huge pressure on her shoulders.

“Nape-pressure ako ng sobra sobra coming from ‘The Greatest Love.’

Sanchez said it helps that all of them on the show have the same goal -- to tell a compelling and beautiful story.

Walang bida, walang kontrabida, walang supporting. Work tayo as pamilya as iisa. Na-achieve dito. Ang sarap lang kasi walang may ere, walang pasikat,” she said.

For Sanchez, she is grateful that ABS-CBN management still trusts her with this project.

Masaya ako at alam kong masaya sila. Nakaplano sa kanya ito simula’t simula pa,” she said.

Besides Sanchez, Atayde and Flores, the still untitled family drama will also feature Teresa Loyzaga, Ariel Rivera and Maris Racal.
