After vacationing in Subic, Zambales, Wowowee host Willie Revillame went home over the weekend to find that his home in a posh Quezon City subdivision had been looted.
Revillame said he lost his collection of watches and jewelry in his house in Corinthian Hills, Quezon City. He refused to disclose the estimated monetary value of the stolen items.
“Nanakawan ako. Nakapasok doon sa likod, pero anyway dito sa Corinthian Hills eh nakuha iyong aking mga kaunting naipon na relos, alahas, eh hindi naman ako mahilig sa relos kaya nakatago lang lahat,” he said in an interview at “Umagang Kay Ganda.”
Revillame said the crime probably took place Saturday night since he left the house in the afternoon and went back at 3 a.m Sunday. Upon his return, he said that the house was already a mess.
What surprised him, however, was how the thief found out where he kept the duplicate keys for his cars and vault. Revillame said only his maids know the hiding place for the duplicate keys. He said he is still considering if the robbing incident was an inside job.
“Tapos pilit na binubuksan iyong vault. May vault ako dito. Doon ako nagtataka,” he said.
Revillame said security should be improved in subdivisions such as Corinthian Hills since it could threaten the lives of its residents who paid millions just to ensure their families’ safety.
