MANILA, Philippines – Andi Eigenmann refuses to believe that her performance in the romance-drama film "A Secret Affair" upstaged that of her onscreen rival Anne Curtis.

"In my opinion, Anne Curtis is Anne Curtis. She's beautiful inside and out, so no, that's not possible," Eigenmann told ABS-CBN News on Friday at the sidelines of the ongoing Philippine Fashion Week in Pasay City.

The 22-year-old actress was responding to a comment that her daring portrayal in "A Secret Affair" overshadowed that of Curtis, who earlier described Eigenmann as "a gem" in relation to her acting in the film.

In the film, the "Agua Bendita" star and Curtis engage in a bitter feud over one man, who is portrayed by Derek Ramsay.

"Nagpapasalamat po ako, I think it's something to be thankful about," she said of favorable reviews on her acting compared to Curtis'.

"But for me, I never expect anyone na magsabi noon, kasi syempre, si Anne Curtis 'yung kasama ko eh. To be able to hear something like that, that's so awesome," she added.

Eigenmann also finds reason to rejoice in the reported box office performance of "A Secret Affair."

Released in theaters nationwide on October 24, the film earned P20 million on its first day, according to a report published Friday on the official website of Viva Entertainment.

"Hindi ako makapaniwala na kabilang ako sa pelikula na ganyan kalakas ang impact sa mga tao," said Eigenmann, who also shared her excitement for the first birthday of her daughter in November.

"Hindi ko ine-expect 'yung mga ganyang blessings na dumating sa buhay ko, pero tuluy-tuloy parin po sila. I cannot the Lord enough for all the blessings that I've been receiving," she added.
