Perfecto “Epep’z” Pascual Jr., 47, won a total of P1,050,000 after one of his 2 chosen keys opened the vault leading to the P1-million “Susi ng Kapalaran” jackpot prize.

MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN noontime show “Happy Yipee Yehey” got its first “Susi ng Kapalaran” millionaire on Tuesday.

Perfecto “Epep’z” Pascual Jr., 47, won a total of P1,050,000 after one of his 2 chosen keys opened the vault leading to the P1-million “Susi ng Kapalaran” jackpot prize.

Pascual, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, chose to keep key numbers 1 and 5.

He sold his two other keys, numbers 10 and 8, to “Happy Yipee Yehey” host John Estrada for P40,000.

When asked why he decided to go for his chosen keys, he explained, “Key number 1 kasi nag-iisang akong anak eh. ‘Yung 5, lucky number ng wife ko.”

In an interview with dzMM radio show “Mismo” on Wednesday, Pascual expressed thanks for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“Gusto kong pasalamatan ang ‘Happy Yipee Yehey’ dahil sa pamamagitan nila nabigyan ako ng napakalaking halaga. Napakalaking tulong nito talaga sa [amin],” he said.

Pascual used to be an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), but he has been unemployed for nearly six months.

“Umuwi ako [dito sa Pilipinas] sir ng May, tapos since May up to now wala po akong trabaho,” he shared.

According to him, his family’s need for financial assistance made him decide to try his chances in “Happy Yipee Yehey.”

“Dahil sa kakulangan na sa financial, 'yung 4 kong anak eh nasa private [school] lahat, medyo naubos na 'yung naipon ko. ‘Yung gabi bago ako sumali, 'yung daughter ko pinu-push niya akong ‘Pa, sali ka doon sa channel 2, kasi baka manalo ka doon. Try mo.’”

When asked how he plans to spend his cash prize, he said, “Unang-una sir, gagamitin ko ‘yan sa pag-aaral ng mga anak ko. Mag-uusap kami ng wife ko kung anong magandang negosyo.”
