Mo Twister apologizes to John Lloyd Cruz
MANILA, Philippines – Television host Mo Twister on Tuesday said sorry to John Lloyd Cruz over the recent controversy involving the Box Office King and Ruffa Gutierrez.
In a press launch of "Ariel Oxybleach," Mo said he never thought that revealing Cruz’s phone calls to Gutierrez would become a big entertainment news.
"I'm sorry if this caused gulo sa buhay niya, sa relationship. Pero again this was something sa laglagan portion namin. Si Ruffa may masasabi siya tungkol kay Rhian (Ramos). Siyempre igaganti ko na lang ay Cesar Flores o John Lloyd. Tapos biglang lumaki na lang 'yan and became a big story," Mo said, referring to the personalities who are being romantically linked to his “Paparazzi” co-host Gutierrez.
Mo, who is rumored to be courting Ramos, has divulged Cruz’s calls in one of the segments of their show. His revelation was picked up by the entertainment press and eventually turned into a big controversy after the young actor denied it.
The 27-year-old actor eventually retracted his denial. He said he was calling his former girlfriend only to address some issues involving them.
Cruz vowed to stay away from her to stop the speculations. Gutierrez did not take his statement sitting down as she lambasted the actor for purportedly being inconsistent.
But Mo stressed that he never intended to hurt anyone or ruin Cruz’s relationship with girlfriend Shaina Magdayao.
"It's not really my intention to try to break-up Shaina o John Lloyd. It's not my intention to make John Lloyd and Ruffa fight. It's more like, ‘Sige, ilalaglag mo ako tungkol kay Rhian, ilalaglag din kita tungkol kay John Lloyd.’ Kumagat lang ang tao kay John Lloyd," he said.
Mo maintained that he feels sorry for hurting Cruz, but he doesn’t regret telling the truth.
Mo also clarified speculations that the person who challenged him to a fistfight was Cruz.
"Hinamon ako ng suntukan? John Lloyd? No, no. John Lloyd didn't know. I know he is not happy sa kung ano ang nangyayari pero hindi niya ako hinamon ng suntukan," he said.
"John Lloyd has not been violent with me or anything like that and I appreciate that," he added.
Mo declined to name the person who made that challenge.
After the Cruz-Gutierrez controversy, some are now referring to Mo as the King Of Intrigues.
When asked to comment, Mo, who is known for his frankness, replied: "Hindi naman. It's just my job. If I'm the King of Intrigues, it's because we have intrigue shows." -Report by Reyma Buan-Deveza, abs-cbnNEWS.com
