MANILA, Philippines – How would Viva Hot Babe Sheree react if she saw the kissing scene of her boyfriend Gian Magdangal and young actress Iya Villania in 9Works Theatrical’s “The Wedding Singer?”
“The Wedding Singer” is a stage adaptation of the Hollywood film version of the same title which starred Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler.
It wasn’t just a smack or a friendly smooch but lips-to-lips in less than half a minute.
It was truly a passionate, virtual kiss.
The scene called for a run through of sort of what would transpire when the groom is asked to kiss the bride in public. The jilted wedding singer Robbie Hart (Magdangal) willingly obliged and kissed soon-to-be married waitress Julia Sullivan’s (Villania).
At this point, Hart is already smitten by Sullivan’s kindness and charm.
Nikki Valdez, who plays Holly, Julia’s cousin and fellow waitress, requested the reel kiss and in front of her, Villania and Magdangal let loose.
During the intimate scene, Magdangal and Villania were so damn good actors and appeared so engrossed in their characters - their lips ostensibly still but tied with each other and, after long seconds, they separated, the tip of her tongue apparently seemed to show.
In the curtain call, Villania, interestingly, was coiled in the arms of Magdangal.
Both of them, by the way, are under the wings of talent manager Arnold Vegafria.
All along, this viewer was intrigued by the scene and asked Villania and Magdangal during the press call if the tender, loving kiss was for real or just a trick, an illusion, most probably done in hoodwink.
“What you see is what you get,” Villania quickly replied.
“Walang tongue?” Valdez chimed in chuckling.
Villania just smiled the answer away.
“Ang hirap naman ng tanong,” exclaimed Villania.
“Ang dali lang, huh,” we commented back.
“Sana, panoorin na lang po ninyo para malaman ninyo kung totoo o hindi ‘yong eksena,” said Magdangal.
“That must be the reason why we don’t see Sheree around?” we pressed.
“Ay, dapat po nandito talaga si Sheree,” Villania said
“Manonood talaga po siya,” shared Magdangal.
As a matter of fact, the rains were hard outside and the traffic horrendous before and during the show Friday night.
These must have prevented Sheree from watching the premiere showing of the musicale, otherwise, would there be downpour of emotions?
