Did Cristine ask Joross to be dropped for Rayver?
MANILA, Philippines -- Rayver Cruz said he is aware of reports alleging that he had been cast for an upcoming series, supposedly at the request of his girlfriend Cristine Reyes.

The upcoming ABS-CBN series "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin" was reportedly set to star Reyes, Gerald Anderson and Joross Gamboa in a love triangle. But rumors have surfaced that the Kapamilya actress requested management to give Gamboa's role to Cruz instead.
Gamboa, an alumnus of the Kapamilya reality talent search "Star Circle Quest," and Reyes were romantically linked for a time before she was involved with Cruz.
Asked to comment on reports on his girlfriend's hand in the "recast," Cruz said that while he is aware of such rumors, he prefers to focus on the preparations leading up to the filming of "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin."
Along with other artists of Star Magic, Cruz is in the United States for a series of shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of ABS-CBN's talent management outfit.
Referring to his role in "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin," Cruz maintained, however, that he was simply offered the part without mention of a supposed re-cast.
"Alam ko kasi ako talaga 'yung tinawag, at in-offer sa 'kin. Wala naman akong alam eh. Basta ang sabi lang sa 'kin kasama ka doon sa show and 'yun 'yung role mo. Wala nang ibang sinabi sakin," said Cruz, who also shared that he will start filming for the soap upon his return from LA.
