The Guillermo Mendoza Scholarship Foundation for the Box Office Entertainment Awards honored Vice Ganda with the title last year for his movie “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” which became the top-grossing local movie of all time.

Vice Ganda is among the lead stars of the Star Cinema comedy flick “This Guy’s In Love with U Mare,” which is shaping up to be this year’s biggest hit.

But the "It's Showtime" host said he will be satisfied with whatever the Lord will bestow upon him.

“Oo, pinagdarasal pero kung ano ang ibigay sa akin ng Diyos okay na. Sobrang malaking bonus na ‘yun eh. ‘Yung matapos lang namin nang matiwasay ‘yung pelikula na walang naging problema… as in never kaming nagkaproblema at all, ang saya-saya,” he said.

He also said that the the fact that “This Guy’s In Love with U Mare” is receiving a lot of good reviews is already overwhelming.

“Bukod dun sa malaking kinikita, ang daming magagandang reviews ‘yung sinasabi ng mga tao. Bukod sa nakakatawa, maganda ang istorya at totoo ‘yung pangyayari. Nagustuhan nila, maganda ang pagkakagawa,” he said.

“This Guy’s In Love with U Mare” tells the story of a heart-broken gay man, Marce (Vice Ganda), who tries to come between his former lover (Luis Manzano) and his fiancee (Toni Gonzaga). To do this, Marce pretends to be a straight man who tries to win the heart of Gonzaga's character.

Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment, "This Guy" is the follow-up big-screen outing of director Wenn V. Deramas to the "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin."

Two weeks since it was released nationwide, “This Guy’s in Love With U Mare” has already earned P200 million. - from a report by
