MANILA, Philippines -- Despite the premiere of two new rival shows, ABS-CBN's "Be Careful With My Heart" remains the No. 1 daytime series nationwide.

The October 22 episode of the Jodi Sta. Maria-starrer earned more than double the nationwide audience share of two new GMA-7 series, which aired their respective pilot episodes against the Kapamilya "kilig-serye" the same day.

According to the latest TV ratings data of Kantar Media, "Be Careful With My Heart" garnered 23.1% nationwide ratings, compared to only 8% for "One True Love: A Second Chance" and 10.2% for "Cielo de Angelina."

Of the achievement, Richard Yap, who plays "Sir Chief" in the Kapamilya series, said: "I think competition is always healthy. Okay ‘yan para magsusumikap kami na laging gawin ang best namin.”

"Pero sa totoo lang, hindi talaga kami nakikipag-kompetensya kahit kanino. Gusto lang naming magpasaya ng mga manonood," he added.

"Be Careful With My Heart" airs weekday on ABS-CBN's "Umaganda" block at 10:45 a.m. Its "Sabado Rewind" edition, meanwhile, continues to air Saturdays at 10 a.m. before the noontime variety program "It's Showtime."
