MANILA -- The second season of ABS-CBN's "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition" will finally premiere this coming January, according to actress Iza Calzado, who will be hosting the upcoming reality show.

Calzado said they have long been working on the new season of "The Biggest Loser" and are already halfway through.

"Hindi ko lang siya mai-post masyado sa social media because of the nature of the show," Calzado explained.

"Actually marami ang nagtatanong noon at hanggang ngayon paulit-ulit na tanong, ano daw ang ginagawa ng ABS-CBN sa career ko simula ng lumipat ako dito? Ang masasabi ko lang it pays to wait and to trust that right project will come your way and I'm so grateful because this project is so good and it's exactly what I'm looking for," Calzado said.

"Mahirap lang kasing mag-ingay kasi baka sa sobrang hype niya eh pagdating sa oras na ipapalabas siya ay manuya na ang tao. So kapit lang po at sisimulan na ang promotion sa 'Biggest Loser.' Basta exciting siya," Calzado added.

The first season of the Philippine version of the American reality show ran from May to October 2011 with former police officer Larry Martin declared the first winner. It was originally hosted by Sharon Cuneta and Derek Ramsay.

Joining Calzado in the second season are Matteo Guidicelli and Robi Domingo.

Accoring to Calzado, the "Biggest Loser Doubles" is an "inspiring" show for all Filipinos.

"I can't wait for the whole Philippines, lahat ng nanonood ng TFC, for them to watch the show. Kasi ako as a host nanliliit ako sa determinasyon at disiplina na ipinapakita ng mga kalahok ngayon sa 'Biggest Loser Doubles' at antabayanan niyo 'yan, It's an amazing show," said Calzado, who is taping for the show twice a week now.

Aside from "Biggest Loser Doubles," Calzado is also shooting the film "Unlove You" and gearing up for the upcoming television series "You're My Home" with Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez.
