MANILA, Philippines -- After Las Vegas, Philippine pride Charice, along with American music producer-composer David Foster and other international artists, took Japan by storm in their performance at the Tokyo International Forum.
Charice is part of "David Foster & Friends Asian Tour," and Japan was one of the tour's stopovers.
Charice charmed her foreign audience during the October 19 concert as she performed Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard," "Power of Love," and Celine Dion's "To Love You More."
Foster, her musical mentor, played the piano on stage.
Last October 15, Charice got 2 standing ovations in Las Vegas, where she joined other artists for the "One and Only Hit-Man David Foster and Friends" concert held at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
She sang a group tribute song to Michael Jackson as well as 2 other Celine Dion songs, namely "To Love You More" and "All by Myself."
Charice, who plays Sunshine Corazon in "Glee," said her song numbers are just a preview of what's in store for those who are planning to watch Foster's concert in Manila on October 23.
Hours before the October 19 show, Charice, who flew to Tokyo early this year to launch her album, shared she was excited to perform in Japan again.
"Konichiwa! Watashi wa Sharisu desu. Tokyo International Forum tonight! David Foster & Friends Asian Tour!!! Let's do this Japan!" Charice tweeted.
Meanwhile, Charice expressed her concern to Filipinos who were affected by typhoon Juan (international codename Megi).
"heard about the typhoon there in the Philippines... I hope that my fellow filipinos are okay," Charice tweeted last October 18. -Report by Reyma Buan-Deveza, abs-cbnNEWS.com
