MANILA, Philippines -- After only two years in showbiz, young actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith is ready "give back" to her mother by buying her a new home.

Jasmine, the younger sister of Kapamilya star Anne Curtis, much like her "ate" is fast becoming a favorite among local brands to become their endorser.

"Napansin ko rin 'yan," Jasmine told reporters at the sidelines of a pictorial for a skincare brand, which she now endorses. The young actress was responding to an observation that she has already scored numerous local endorsements for a relative newbie in showbiz.

"I've only been in the industry for less than two years, and already ang dami ko ng endorsements. I couldn't be more thankful to have such lovely management team, and for all the brands that want to have me as part of their family, I'm just so happy and just so overwhelmed," Jasmine added.

Jasmine first gained popularity when she would visit the set of the noontime variety program "It's Showtime," which her older sister co-hosts. The 18-year-old was noticed for her appearance on the show, and later even performed alongside her "ate" on the "Showtime" stage.

Since then, Jasmine has become a regular presence on- and off-screen, as she is now among the more recognizable faces on billboards throughout the metro.

Her fast rise to fame, Jasmine said, has afforded her independence in terms of financial stability. But for the young actress, "thanking" her mother, Carmen, comes as a priority having come by her own success.

To this end, "I buy stuff for my mom, like I bought her a car last year."

"That was very exciting for her and myself as well, because I'm able to help my mom and give back to her for everything that she's done for me," Jasmine said.

Jasmine shared that she and Anne also plan to buy their mother a new house.

Anne, according to the younger Curtis, will buy the house itself. Jasmine, meanwhile, will be in charge of furnishing their mom's new home.

"In search pa rin kami of houses," Jasmine shared. "Si mama kasi super indecisive pagdating sa mga ganyan, very specific. Every now and then, nagse-send si ate ng mga links ng mga houses na nakikita niya online, she discusses it with us."

"Hopefully by next year, if not the year after, sana makabili na kami ng house for mama," she added.
