MANILA -- The hit revenge drama "Wildflower" saw its ratings rise to a new high in the wake of Maja Salvador's shock return as Lily Cruz.
According to Kantar Media, more than 33.8% of the country's total TV audience tuned in to the latest installment, which saw Lily Cruz reveal her true identity to the family she abhors because of the horrors they did to her parents when she was little.
The figure was significantly higher than its rival show, "Wowowin," which only garnered 18%. Those numbers also made it the third-most watched program on Monday, behind only "TV Patrol" and "Ang Probinsyano."
The newest episode delivered an unexpected twist as Salvador, as Lily Cruz, who before was masking as the seductress Ivy Aguas, crashed a party of the Ardientes and threatened to kill them all.
She was wearing scene-stealing gold gown --a far cry from the black dress she famously wore at her wedding.
"Black is out. Gold is in. And just like gold, I am indestructible!" she exclaimed.
